This diagram is a flow chart showing key components to consider when trying to control and hold down your opponent. In various combination, the goal of these techniques is to:
- Block the near side hip. This helps keep your opponent’s knee from sliding in to reguard.
- Isolate and kill/control the near side arm.
- Isolate and control the far side arm
- Control the Head of your opponent
These key points will help you staple down and control your opponent from cross side.
